Hello my friend,

This is for you today how I made the tissue box cover…Hope you understand my charts ;) (I use Corel draw to make them, it is a graphic design software)

To begin you have to make a small classic granny square crocheted with 2 rounds with the same color…

and then crochet a second square and join it to the first as you go, like on this pic:

and then you continue making squares and joining them as you go as this pic:

50 granny squares in total joined as you go….choosing randomly the colors ;)

That’s it my dear :)

You can also decorate your tissue box by crocheting a round of dc and then another round of small shells on the top of your box…

Enjoy!

Thank you all for your visit and your sweet messages here! I really really LOVE reading them,

Have a great sunday :)

L O V E

You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
And, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each others cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each others keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each others shadow.

Gibran Kahlil Gibran

May Love be always in your home and in your heart,

Happy Valentine’s day!

Good morning my friend,

How are you today?

I was so inspired two days ago after seeing the lovely post of Lucy about her new shawl project…so inspired that I took my hook right away and tried the pattern she used…

The pattern is lovely but I wanted to make a long scarf , something like a long neck warmer you know what I mean? and this pattern was kind of “bold” for a scarf…I wanted something “lighter” (Is that a word?)

So, I took an old crochet magazine and transformed my way a pattern made originally for a doily…and I loved it so much……so much…that I crocheted a flower and after another flower etc…with leftover yarns….

…so much that I made right away a graphic pattern for the modified version of the original pattern…

…so much that I want to continue making a long series of flowers to make a very long scarf I can wrap it two or three times  around my neck…

so? what do you think? Do you want to join in? You can make a “light” shawl with this pattern too or some coasters maybe :) I have to leave you now and return to my new project :) (so excited about it!!!!!!!!!)

Have a beautiful week end!

Angie

Good evening ladies,
Hope everything is fine !

Let me begin this post by thanking each and every one of you… one by one… every single one… for every sweet comment you left on my Olé Olé blanket post…Your words filled my heart with a big joy and I felt sooo happy reading them :)

A BIIIIIIIIIG THANK YOU!

This is, as promised, the graphic pattern of the border of Olé Olé blanket:

You have to make two rows of dc first and for the third row (in red) all you have to do is to crochet by following the steps 1, 2, 3 and 4 (in light blue)

It is very easy, you’ll see as soon as you’ll try ;)

And for you who asked for the pattern of the blanket, I am so sorry…I took it from this french book , but you can find something quite similar in the blog of the wonderful Lucy here. ;)

That’s all my friend!

Hope I made it clear…

Do not hesitate to ask any question, I’ll be more than happy to answer :)

Have a great and warm evening!

Hello sweeties,

How was your we?

Mine was pretty good…I’ve been trying something new in crochet…and I really enjoyed playing Sunday with my hook and some cotton yarn, using the pattern of “circle of joy” but changing its 4th round….and this is what I came up to:

cute colorful coasters:)

I enjoyed working the 2nd round with two different colors crocheting  two thread together…I just tried and it worked and it made me sooo happy ! And now I want to try again and again crocheting together two different kind of yarns with different colors of course :)

While the girls were playing around with their new Christmas toys I was playing with my yarns and hook, like a crazy woman fully concentrated on my coasters…

And when I finished the first one I was like wanting to make another one and after that one more etc :) Mad crocheter :)

You really should try this …It is amazing…I’ll show you with some pics and of course a graphic pattern;)

The first 3 rounds are the same as circle of joy. In the 4th round (in orange), you should have finally 11 small petals…

Let’s go… First, choose two different colors A and B (It is better if they are contrasting together)

Make the first round in color A crocheting 11 tr. and after that crochet the 22 tr of round2 with A and B together:

Try not to cut any end before finishing round 3 leaving the two colors together on the coaster (Is that a good English sentence? I am not so sure :) )

and then round3: Make 44 tr using color B and finally crochet round 4 like in the graphic pic using color A again…

And you’ll have a Crazy Coaster: Fast, easy, simple and so cute …

You should really really really try crocheting two different thread together… It is a wonderful experience!

Be crazy and make a crazy coaster and of course let me know … It will make me crazy-happy :)

Have a crazy day!

Good morning to you,

This is for you, as promised, the pattern of “circle of joy”

I draw it as a graphic pattern and took some pics to make it clearer…

You’ll have a perfect circle when you crochet the first 3 rounds as this:

1st round: 11 tr (brides in frensh)

2nd round: 22 tr

3d round: 44 tr

and after that you crochet the 4th round as in the graphic pic (drawn with the purple color)

It is very easy, simple and so addictive you’ll see when you’ll try ;)

and you can use it to make so many beautiful projects: coasters, cushion, blanket and much more…

So, my friend, I will be more than happy to see something you crocheted using “circle of joy” and I will show you, myself,  what I did with my black-border-circles-of-joy next time :)

A beautiful week end to you all!

See you next week,

Sucrette

Candy Cushion: The pattern

Good morning sweet friend,

This is, as promised, the pattern of the candy cushion: It is very simple to make, you’ll see…

For my candy cushion I used Stylecraft special DK yarn with a 3.5 mm crochet hook…

First, you have to make a 66 chain loop and close it… and then continue making rounds of dc in order to have a big empty cylinder…

For mine I made: (from left to right):

7 rounds of dc in red color

and then 7 rounds of dc in lavender color

and after 7 rounds of dc in sunshine color

and then, careful here: 2 rounds of dc in green color, than 1 round of treble in green color and 2 rounds of dc in green color

(you have to make a round of tr where you want to pass a chain loop to close your candy) I’ll try to make it clearer with more pics after)

and then 7rounds of dc in plum color, 7 rounds of dc in shrimp color, 7 rounds of dc in turquoise color, 7 rounds of dc in pomegranate color, 7 rounds of dc in yellow color, 7 rounds of dc in magenta color, 7 rounds of dc in aspen color, 7 rounds of dc in red color, 7 rounds of dc in lavender color

and then again: 2 rounds of dc in green color, than 1 round of tr in green color and 2 rounds of dc in green color

and 7 more rounds of dc in plum color, 7 rounds in shrimp color and finally 7 rounds of turquoise color :)

You can see, the two small white pearls in the pic above, is where I crocheted a round of tr…

The whole candy is made with rounds of dc….The only two rounds of tr (where are the two white pearls) are for passing the chain loop between the stitches to close the candy…

Once you finished the big cylinder (as big as you want your candy to be), you have to crochet a border like this:

in order to have a perfect candy ;)

and then crochet two 66chain loop with the red color:

and pass the two chain loop between the  stitches of the two treble  rounds:

and then, pull well before doing a double knot on one side:

stuff good your candy and then pull well the second side and close it with a double knot…

Your candy is done:):)

Hope I made it clear with my explanations…

Please feel free to ask anything, I’ll be more than happy to help you:)

Before I go, I want to thank all of you for your nice comments on my blog and I want you to go to Maaike and see the cute poncho she made with my pattern…It is lovely, Maaike!  You did a really good job!!

Sweet day to you all,

About Ponchos and pattern :D

Hello my friend,

I’ve finished today the baby poncho for my niece Clara who’s six months old…and I’ll put here in this post the pattern if someone is interested in crocheting one…It is sooo simple to make and so cute for the children:) It really makes a great gift :) I’ve already made 3 ponchos…2 in march and 1 now…

The 2 I made in March were bigger (for my own girls: 3 and 5 years old)… Here they are:

and the last one is for a baby:

For the pattern:

All you have to make is a chain big enough to enter through baby’s head and a multiple of 8: (It is very important that the chain is a multiple of 8!! For the baby I made a chain of 72)

and after that you follow this graphic pattern:

and you continue this way until you crochet the length you desire…

You’ll see it is very easy and quick!

Happy crocheting to you all!
