Houses

Good morning !

This week end I enjoyed sewing small houses …

I saw this so cute pic of the cover of this book I ordered from amazon (but I did not received the book yet) and I could not resist making one of these cute houses…

I enjoyed so much the whole process that I made another one too…

They are so simple to make and I really love this childish style :)

And as I am still waiting for the book, I began trying something similar to the cute framed pic too :)

Hope it turns out good so I can show it to you :)

Have a beautiful day!

Good morning,

How are you today? I’ve been missing you these days…life is running so fast that I have barely time to breathe…

I want to begin this post by thanking you all for your birthday wishes and your sweet words…It was a special birthday this year because of you all my blogland friends :)

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!

Talking about hearts, I’ve been doing some…

stuffed with lavender…

mmmmh…smelling sooo good that I want to make more and more and hang them everywhere around the house …

I want to show you also this cute handmade cushion I could not resist buying…

Isn’t it lovely with all those tiny buttons and small details ?

and this cute-brown-balls border?

and it has a beautiful sewed quote on it : Life is good, enjoy the little things ! (The title of this post) That is one I should remember always ;)

I love having all kind of handmade cushions on my sofas … I have a problem with cushions…I keep making them and buying them :)

and the granny blanket you see on the right side of this pic is the one I am crocheting right now (will talk about it in another post ;) )

And finally before leaving you some hooky stuff made this week…

I finished the cover for the round stool to go with the orange cushion and the paintings…

The colors on these pics are a little strange I don’t know why…

But “live” they are warm and happy … I should take other pics when the light is better …

Time to go now… play a little with the girls before lunch time ;)

Thank you for your visit today!

Have a great week end!

Good morning my lovelies,

How’s everything?

Yesterday, was a big day for me, as I used my sewing machine again after a really long time period and I made something on my own without any help :) I am so proud of myself and could not resist showing to you :)

Here it is: Beba the bear…

I sew Beba using small pieces of leftover fabric …and I enjoyed a lot making her…

Even if she’s not perfect, I am very happy with the result :) and I keep looking at her sitting here in my new craft room and I keep smiling to myself :) (crazy woman)

Now, I can sew and paint as I have my very own craft room …yes…a small craft room for me and only me :) I painted it in soft apple green with one wall in red ….

Wanna see some pics? I’ll show you some pics and leave other for another post as I still need to add some shelf and some other details ;) before the “studio” is really finished :)

First I have a white cabinet…wanna see what’s inside? Let’s open it right now…Tadaaaaaaaaaa

I folded the pieces of fabric and I arranged them nicely… hoping that they will stay like this for a while :)

mmmh love when I open this cabinet … and this one too…full of colorful yarns :) miammmm

and here we have a corner for painting stuff…in a small wood closet

I am so excited to paint again …

Hey! Beba! What are you doing up there? enjoying the new craft room eh?

That’s all lovely people :D

Hope you enjoyed…

Thank you for your visit and have a wonderful day wherever you are,

L O V E

You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
And, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each others cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each others keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each others shadow.

Gibran Kahlil Gibran

May Love be always in your home and in your heart,

Happy Valentine’s day!

Hello my friend,

Here is the pattern of the stuffed heart with dc (better than the one with tr because it has less holes:))

The crocheting method is the same as for the heart made with tr:

Begin making the first hump of the heart : the bump A:

1st round: 8dc

round 2to round 6: 16dc

You’ve already done the first bump which we are going to call bumpA

You have now to do another same bump (exactly the same as A) made with 6 rounds that we are going to call bump B.

round 7: You have to join together A and B with 3 dc and continue making the round with 28dc

Now you have A and B joined together with the 7th round …

continue your heart like this:

round 8: 28dc

round 9: 19dc (1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1 dc, 2-st dc decrease…etc to have a total of 19dc)

round 10: 19dc same as round 9

round11: 13dc (1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1 dc, 2-st dc decrease…etc to have a total of 19dc)

round 12: 13dc same as round11

round 13: 9dc (1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1 dc, 2-st dc decrease…etc to have a total of 9dc)

round 14: 4dc (2-st dc decrease, 2-st dc decrease etc)

That’s it my lovelies! Very simple you’ll see when you’ll try it :)

This simple heart makes a very nice Christmas tree decoration. And it is lovely also in a closet if stuffed with lavender:)

I would love to see some of your hearts made from this pattern, I’ll be very happy!

Have a perfect week end!

Kisses,

Sucrette

Playing with dcs…

Good morning ,

I am waiting for the arrival of 40 yarns straight from the UK …I have in mind to make a very big blanket, big enough to cover all our double sized bed…yaaay I don’t know if I will be patient enough to finish this kind of big project…we will see…

It takes too long to come all the way from the UK to Lebanon, so, I’ve been playing theses two past days with the left over yarns from the cotton ones I used to remake the two leather stools (yes the number 2 is done:) I’ll show it to you very soon, did not take any pics yet)

It’s been a while since I did crochet anything with just dcs…but I learned today that I do not love this kind of crochet projects… No, I don’t like to make 3D objects or amigurumi things…That was the conclusion of the day :)

Sorry if I talked too much, lets have some pics…

I made a “doudou” , a kind of doggy, for my niece Clara who is 5 months old:)…and then I tried a Christmas ball for the Christmas tree but that was a first trial, not too good as you’ll notice :S:S

and finally, I crocheted a 3D heart (a new pattern I made) using dc as I noticed the 3D one crocheted with tr have some holes in it and was not too perfect as a heart should be… (If anyone is interested in the pattern of this heart, let me know and I’ll be glad to post it:))

So, what do you think?

Uuuuuf that was a very long post…

I am practicing my English thanks to you dear readers :) :)

I have now to leave you and wish you a wonderful day full of beautiful moments…

Kisses!
