Good morning!

Hope you’re having a good time today…

I, myself, am enjoying a lot a lot “the making of ” Sarah’s blanket …

Crocheting small squares and throwing them here:

This is the kind of project I love to make…

without any thinking and any planification…

just using all (most of all) colors of my stash of Nako yarn: 30 colors 🙂

I’ve made so far 150 little squares (here on these pics you can only see 120 )…still have to do 10 more… and I’ll reach the total of 160 😀

and then I can begin the lovely job of joining :)….yaaayyyy I have a very very small idea here in my head about how to join these little squares…

but I’ll keep it secret because I don’t know yet the result …

So, my lovelies, my next Kaleidoscope post will be a tadaaaaaaaaaa one…because showing you the joining steps will take out all the surprise look of the finished blanket 🙂

But I promise that if the blanket turns out beautiful I’ll make a detailed pattern explaining this “how to join” special method step by step… 😉

Have to go now…

Thank you for visiting today 🙂

Have a lovely day!

WOW WOW WOW I am sooo thrilled by all the comments you are leaving on the “giveaway” post 🙂 149 so far 🙂 I wish I could make you all winners …

Today, some pics of my Kaleidoscope blanket’s progress…

72 little squares so far…

What I like about this blanket is that I can not predict how it will turn out…I’m just making squares…making squares and enjoying these small 2 rounds without any idea for the joining method 🙂

and when I crochet a small square and throw it in the bucket I feel like I just moved for 1mm a big mountain … What an accomplishment 😀 haha

If you’re interested in the small square pattern you can find it here (just crochet with one color only the first two rounds)

That’s all folks 😉

Have a wonderful day!

Good morning!

This is as promised the “how to” for “summer time” ripple blanket.

To begin, you have to make a chain : multiple of 11 + 4… I suggest, just to try out the pattern, to make as in the graphic here a chain of 37 ! ((3×11) +4 = 37) and when you try out and you’re ready to start you’ll make a much bigger chain as big as you want your blanket to be…

For Christina’s blanket I started with a chain of 114 (that is (10×11) +4 = 114) which is large enough for a six years girl blanket 🙂

This is a close-up for the valley 😉 (leaving 2 stitches of the previous row and crochet in the 3d one)

and this is a close-up of the mountain 😉 (working 3 treble in the same stitch of the previous row)

It is very very easy to follow…you’ll see when you’ll try…

You have only to begin with the correct number of chain (always a multiple of 11 + 4) and follow the graphic chart…

Happy crocheting 🙂

Mooorning!

It feels always sooo good to start a new project…and it feels even better when you start two 🙂 Two projects started together and hope to finish together …

I’m making two blankets for my little girls (yes, blankets, again, blankets and cushions are my favorite things to crochet and I just can not resist when somebody asks for a blanket 🙂 ) 2 blankets to snuggle under while watching T.V…

For my eldest Christina, it will be a ripple…She chose a wavy blanket and she told me that it will reminds her the beach, the sun and summer time during the cold and grey days of winter ( mature thinking for a 6 years old girl don’t you think? 🙂 )

I took this special pattern from an old french crochet magazine and I just love it … love the small holes that break up the waves …

If you’re interested in having this special pattern I’ll be more than happy to make for you a graphic one…It is very very easy to follow and sooo relaxing to crochet….a dreamy-dream-kind-of-pattern…

“Summer time” will be Christina’s blanket 🙂

For my youngest Sarah (4 years old) she said she wants a blanket full of colors, all kind of colors … “Mummy I want you to use all the colors that you have in your craft room I want them AAALLLLL  in my blanket” 🙂 Well, this is my girl 🙂 She did not choose a design she just wants colors…

so I decided to make for her a patchwork of tiny squares (2 rounds) with all the colors that I have in my stash (more than 30 actually)…

Don’t know yet how I’ll join the squares, I’m not thinking about this right now… just making squares and enjoying… and it is really going fast 🙂

“Kaleidoscope” will be Sarah’s blanket 🙂

I’m crocheting these two blankets simultaneously (is that a word?)…Picking up one color…crocheting 4 small squares for “kaleidoscope”… then crocheting 2 rows for “summer time”…etc etc…and this is really a LOT OF FUN !! Playing with two different projects …

Time to go now…

But before I leave you today I want to thank you for all the sweet messages you are leaving day after day at Le monde de Sucrette  🙂 I really appreciate them all from the bottom of my heart…THANK YOU ! It is really really like a warm and sunshiny good morning every single day for me 🙂

To Carmen who is our number 84 participant in the GIANT Granny Challenge: A warm WELCOME from all of us 🙂

Have to go now…

Have a wonderful day wherever you are!

Good mooooorniiiiiiiiiing 🙂

How are you?

Feels great to be with you today!

Wanna jump with me in the land of colors to brighten up your monday? Yallaaaa! Let’s make it! Let’s jump in some granny loveliness…

Yes! It is done and I’m crazy in love with it 🙂

My Giant is 48 rounds + the border… It measures 135x135cm…

The yarn is “Nako Vizon” a 100% acrylic yarn crocheted with a 4.5mm hook…

I enjoyed sooo much crocheting this blanket …

Specially the yellow border! (OOH how I love making borders 🙂 )

I used this border as it reminds me of the granny’s small squares… You can find its graphic pattern here! It is very simple to make and it looks great with a granny square 😉

No more words just more pics… 😉

Hope you enjoyed 😀

Before I go today I want you to welcome some new participants to the Challenge (Yes it is still going on 😉 )

Hello!
Thank you soooooo much for all your wonderful comments on my stripy blanket… I was so happy reading every single word  🙂  T H A N K   Y O U !

Here is the graphic of the stripy’s edging:

For the symbols meanings click here!

Hope it’s easy to follow 😉

It is a very simple to crochet border… simple things are always the best 🙂

Many of you keep asking me about the software I use to draw my graphics, it is called “Corel Draw” it’s a graphic design software I used to work with at school 🙂

Can’t wait for next time to show you my giant granny and my new wip(s)

Stay tuned 😉

Sucrette

YES YES Yes it is done 🙂 and it is beautiful specially when you imagine a small cute baby snuggled under ….

The stripy blanket is over and I love how it turned out finally…

specially when I made the border (thank you mum for suggesting the red color…it was an excellent choice I think:) )

If someone is interested in the graphic pattern of the stripy’s border let me know so I’ll post it here …

The blanket measures 70x90cm which is a good size for a baby…

It is crocheted with a 3.5mm crochet hook and the yarn is: nako baby 50%acrylic 50%polyamid … a very soft and soooo good to hook with yarn… If you can not find this yarn in your country I suggest that you choose a yarn with this particular mixture: acrylic+polyamid…it is sooo soft you can not work with something else after you tried it…I swear 😀

I’m so in love that I suggested to my hubby yesterday that we have a third baby to go with the blanket :):) hehe

So? what do you think?  Hope you liked as much as myself 🙂

The giant granny is done too…yesterday I finished its border…I’m off to take some pics that I can show you later…

and now I’m sooooooooooo thrilled to begin something new….yaaaaaaayyyy!

Big big kisses to you all!
