Good morning lovely ladies,

Thank you for all your sweet comments on my hexagon blanket… they made me sooo happy 🙂

It is so good to see you today after this busy week…

The weather here is gray, it is raining and I have a sort of very bad cold so I am not at the top 😦

Today, some pics (I took yesterday when the sky was blue) of my wip fairy tale blanket which will become – I hope so- a bedspread for one of the girls…

2 rows and 24 circles done so far 🙂 looking great don’t you think?

Did you see my new big plastic bowl? (I don’t know if it is called a bowl or basket or something else but you understand what I mean I am sure 🙂 ) Isn’t it cute?

It is the perfect “thing” to use at home while crocheting many colors…You can see all the yarns and choose the color that you want …I am very happy with this and I think it is the best “container” I’ve ever had for crochet…and I can tell you that I am addicted to buying this sort of things 🙂 hehe

I prefer buying yarns and baskets and things for the house etc rather than buying clothes for me 🙂 I think we are all here like this, don’t you?

and now I am working on a custom-made-order of a very cute “thing” for a small princess… I hope I’ll show it to you done this week… so, stay tuned 😉

and have a lovely warm monday!

Good morning sweeties around the world,

My hexagonal throw is finally finished 🙂 Do you remember the very first post about it? It was on November 3 a little while ago… and now that it’s done I am happy with how it turned out…Let’s see some pics, shall we?

It is not a big throw…it is big enough to decorate my couch

and decorate my future couch (which will be in a light beige color) in the new house :):) (Can’t wait for the move anymore…It will be on the first of march so I have more than 4 weeks to be prepared)

More pics? Yalla…

I crocheted this throw using the leftover yarns of the MONSTER …So it is : Stylecraft special DK a 100% acrylic yarn using a 3.5 mm hook…

and I crocheted a very simple border with the white color made with dc and some “picots”

Sorry if some pics are a little blurry…

Hope you enjoyed the pics…One more before I go…

and to save the best for the last…My favorite one:

Feel like you are in a Gustav Klimt painting, don’t you? :):)

One last thing before I go, if you have facebook come and join “le monde de Sucrette” group I’ll be more than happy to have you between my friends there and let me know it so I can join your group or page if you have one …

Have a beautiful day wherever you are,

Kisses,

Sucrette

Good morning dear friend,

I may be in a hurry and super concerned about our coming “move” … this did not stop me from beginning a new crochet project I want to share with you today 🙂

This project holds a special place in my heart and I wanted from a while ago to make it… I fall in love with many pics of it on the net (like here and here and again here) but it was Jacquie from Bunny Mummy who inspired me most of all with hers…(Isn’t it the most wonderful piece of art you’ve ever seen???)  Thank you again Jacquie!

So, This is for you my friend the very first pics of my wip Fairy tale blanket…

I’ll make this blanket to cover one of my girls beds…They will fight for sure for it 🙂I will use 24 different colors for this blanket…

I made small balls of the yarns so I can carry them all together (the 24 colors) wherever I go…

I’ll use one of the baby bags I used to carry diapers, bottles of milk and bibs with it 🙂

They are very practical … and full of precious memories 🙂

Before leaving you my friend, I want to thank Clara for the Stylish blogger award I received from her 🙂 Thank you so much Clara you made my day with the award and all the sweet comments you left for me today…

This is the second time I receive this award and I am very happy 🙂 You can find my post about the Stylish blogger award here.

Have a wonderful day everyone and see you soon 😉

My creative friday…

Good friday morning my friend,

How’s everything today?

I’ll be less present here in the coming weeks and I’ll miss all of you 😦

Because we’re moving to a new house, maybe in march, I’ll be most of the time, out of house for the next weeks to come, running from a place to another to finalize every single detail of our “move” and this is a lot of work …

So, today, I’ll show you my progress with the new ripple blanket I am making…slowly

…with no rush for the first time

… enjoying every single stitch 🙂

I also started a  new project and I’ll show you for sure something next time 😉

So stay tuned!

and, before I forget, if you like to link or visit some lovely blogs, go every friday and saturday here and here! Great places with a lot of inspiration!

Have a beautiful friday!

Circle of joy cushion: DONE!

Hello lovelies,

It is so good to see you today and show you what I did with my “circle of joy” pattern

Another cushion 🙂 hehe

But this one is so special and I am totally in love with it… (I think I say that every time I finish something 😉 )

No, I think I love it that much because of the black border…It was the first time I use black with other colors and without white and I can say that I totally love the result…don’t you?

I made also a small border with dc in red color…do you see it?

Here it is with some (yes some) of his friends …

Enjoy your day!

Kisses,

Sucrette

Hello sweeties,

How was your we?

Mine was pretty good…I’ve been trying something new in crochet…and I really enjoyed playing Sunday with my hook and some cotton yarn, using the pattern of “circle of joy” but changing its 4th round….and this is what I came up to:

cute colorful coasters:)

I enjoyed working the 2nd round with two different colors crocheting  two thread together…I just tried and it worked and it made me sooo happy ! And now I want to try again and again crocheting together two different kind of yarns with different colors of course 🙂

While the girls were playing around with their new Christmas toys I was playing with my yarns and hook, like a crazy woman fully concentrated on my coasters…

And when I finished the first one I was like wanting to make another one and after that one more etc 🙂 Mad crocheter 🙂

You really should try this …It is amazing…I’ll show you with some pics and of course a graphic pattern;)

The first 3 rounds are the same as circle of joy. In the 4th round (in orange), you should have finally 11 small petals…

Let’s go… First, choose two different colors A and B (It is better if they are contrasting together)

Make the first round in color A crocheting 11 tr. and after that crochet the 22 tr of round2 with A and B together:

Try not to cut any end before finishing round 3 leaving the two colors together on the coaster (Is that a good English sentence? I am not so sure :))

and then round3: Make 44 tr using color B and finally crochet round 4 like in the graphic pic using color A again…

And you’ll have a Crazy Coaster: Fast, easy, simple and so cute …

You should really really really try crocheting two different thread together… It is a wonderful experience!

Be crazy and make a crazy coaster and of course let me know … It will make me crazy-happy 🙂

Have a crazy day!

Good morning to you,

This is for you, as promised, the pattern of “circle of joy”

I draw it as a graphic pattern and took some pics to make it clearer…

You’ll have a perfect circle when you crochet the first 3 rounds as this:

1st round: 11 tr (brides in frensh)

2nd round: 22 tr

3d round: 44 tr

and after that you crochet the 4th round as in the graphic pic (drawn with the purple color)

It is very easy, simple and so addictive you’ll see when you’ll try 😉

and you can use it to make so many beautiful projects: coasters, cushion, blanket and much more…

So, my friend, I will be more than happy to see something you crocheted using “circle of joy” and I will show you, myself,  what I did with my black-border-circles-of-joy next time 🙂

A beautiful week end to you all!

See you next week,

Sucrette

Circle of joy

Good morning my friend,

I’ve been busy during these past two days working on a new pattern…I don’t know if there is or not something similar on the net but this is my very own version 🙂

It is a plain circle (with no holes :)) in a kind-of-granny-square-border:

I don’t know why I am loving the black color with other bright colors these days…I am adding black to my january2011 projects and liking it sooo much…It brighten more the other colors giving them more shining…don’t you think?

I made two squares with a cream border so you can see more clearly the 4th round of the square:

I don’t know yet what I’ll be doing with my black border squares…Will they turn into a blanket, a cushion? Will I make some coasters with cotton yarn? 🙂 The only thing I know is that I love this square…

…and I am gonna post its pattern for you tomorrow 🙂

Have a joyful day!

Stylish blogger award

Good morning sweet friend,

I am here today to give a big THANK YOU to my friend Teje from Nero’s post and patch for the Stylish blogger award!

It is a real pleasure to receive such a great gift so thank you from the bottom of my heart Teje!

Now I have to tell 7 things about myself and it is so difficult for me 🙂 … I’ll make 7 resolutions for 2011 instead if it is ok…

Resolution number1: Play more with my girls instead of crocheting when they are playing around…

Resolution number2: Make long walks in the nature…I am blessed to be living in a nature environment with a sunshiny weather 300 days/year so I must enjoy it!

Resolution number 3: Make a diet and loose at least 5 kilos….I think this is the most difficult one 🙂 but I’ll try 🙂

Resolution number4: Stop telling what I am thinking to everybody around and be a more secret person because this stupid matter is making me lots of problems sometimes…so Keep my mouth shut instead of being frank and saying what not to say…

Resolution number5: Enjoy the small treasures and gifts of everyday instead of always projecting myself in the future with future projects to make…

Resolution number 6: Try to finish my wip and not begin new things before that. I am allowed to crochet 2 projects at the same time but not more …

Resolution number 7: Improve my poor English and for that practice it here as far as I can 🙂

Now I want to pass this award to 15 lovely ladies with lovely blogs you must visit:

1- Carina at home

2- Handmadebyfiona

3- Hooks and yarns

4- Frecklepuss

5- Patchconchocolate

6- Creationwest

7- Moniquesplace67

8- Lacrochetnauta

12- Scottys-place

13- Karenlcase

14- Barefeetandafreespirit

15- Lala-lizzie

and I can pass it to a hundred more!!!

On the other hand, I am working on a new pattern I’ll share with you very soon and maybe I’ll post about it tomorrow… So stay tuned 😉

Have a wonderful day!
