Hello my lovelies!

Hope you’re having a fun week end wherever you are!

Yesterday, like you already guessed from the title of this post I did some shopping! No, no not any normal kind of shopping…MY kind of shopping and I’m soo thrilled to show you what I found with a very very good price!

A bird cage:

I felt sooo in love with this cage and on my way back home I was already planning what to put inside 🙂 yeah yeahhhh!

A parrot? love birds? NO!!!NOOOO! (I sooo hate animals in cages! specially birds ! Aren’t they meant to be free? When I was a kid I once opened the door of the cage to a lovely parrot when we were visiting some of my parent’s friends! I’ll let you imagine what happened next 😉 hehe)

So? did you guessed what I put inside?

Hearts!

I sew them quickly this morning with some fabric scraps! They are not perfect but they are small, colorful and so cute:)

Look at the result: hearts hanged in a bird cage 🙂

The result is much better “live” then on these pics but I can not resist sharing with you 😉

I Love how it looks in its new home surrounded by some crochet goodies!

And did you see the geese? Yes I bought these too:)

Aren’t they adorable and sooo vintage? I keep smiling every time I enter the living room and look at them!

It is sooo good to live surrounded by people and things you love! and I just love every single object of my happy home! I am so blessed!

Sending you lots and lots of happy and colorful thoughts 🙂

See you next time with some new crochet projects 😉

Here the sun is going down and we have a beautiful sunset…

Have a marvelous evening too!

Good morning !

How’s your morning? Are you enjoying like myself the first days of summer with the birds singing outside and the sun shining high? Mmmmh it feels so great when the weather is good…

So today, as promised, I’ll show you some crochet goodies I brought with me from Istanbul and two new projects I started when I got home …

First, there is some colorful crochet hooks I could not resist buying as I can not find any here in Beirut… I paid 1T.L (Turkish Lira) for each hook…that makes 0.38 british pound (or 0.6 USD) 🙂

some cute little buttons…

and of course yarn 🙂 the best yarn I ever touched in my whole life… soooooo soft and with bright colors 🙂

It is called Nako baby …It is a mixture of 50%acrylic and 50%polyamid…I think this polyamid thing is what makes it soooo soft …and a pure pleasure to work with …

As for the price it is really cheap as I bought one (100gr) for 2.5 T.L (Turkish lira) that makes 0.95 British pound (or 1.5 USD) for one ball of 100g! Can you believe it ???

So, as you already guessed, I started something with this new yarn…a blanket 🙂

a stripy colorful baby blanket…one color for each row…all with treble…

but as you can see in the pic above, I am working the trebles in the back of every stitch…(inserting the hook not in all the stitch but in the back side of the stitch only) that makes it looks like this and I love how the lines are appearing…did you notice ?

and this is my second wip…

a granny square??? pffffffffffff

No, no, no, not any granny square 🙂

These are the first 6 rounds of a giant granny square…a real G I A N T one….with like 100 rounds !!!

So, who wants to join me in this great adventure and make your proper giant granny??? It will be a great challenge to make a really big one with all the leftover yarns you have …and it will become a beautiful loved blanket I am sure!!

Ooooh I am so thrilled with this project 🙂 Join me join me join me !!! pleaaaaaaaaaaase!! 😀

Have to go now my friend!

Thank you so much for visiting today!

Have a wonderful week wherever you are!

Good morning my lovelies,

How’s everything?

Yesterday, was a big day for me, as I used my sewing machine again after a really long time period and I made something on my own without any help 🙂 I am so proud of myself and could not resist showing to you 🙂

Here it is: Beba the bear…

I sew Beba using small pieces of leftover fabric …and I enjoyed a lot making her…

Even if she’s not perfect, I am very happy with the result 🙂 and I keep looking at her sitting here in my new craft room and I keep smiling to myself 🙂 (crazy woman)

Now, I can sew and paint as I have my very own craft room …yes…a small craft room for me and only me 🙂 I painted it in soft apple green with one wall in red ….

Wanna see some pics? I’ll show you some pics and leave other for another post as I still need to add some shelf and some other details 😉 before the “studio” is really finished 🙂

First I have a white cabinet…wanna see what’s inside? Let’s open it right now…Tadaaaaaaaaaa

I folded the pieces of fabric and I arranged them nicely… hoping that they will stay like this for a while 🙂

mmmh love when I open this cabinet … and this one too…full of colorful yarns 🙂 miammmm

and here we have a corner for painting stuff…in a small wood closet

I am so excited to paint again …

Hey! Beba! What are you doing up there? enjoying the new craft room eh?

That’s all lovely people 😀

Hope you enjoyed…

Thank you for your visit and have a wonderful day wherever you are,

L O V E

You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
And, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each others cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each others keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each others shadow.

Gibran Kahlil Gibran

May Love be always in your home and in your heart,

Happy Valentine’s day!

Good morning my lovelies,

It is so good to see you today and begin with you this lovely week…

My ripple blanket is finished 🙂 I enjoyed so much crocheting it that when I made the last row I felt really sad 😦

It is a real pleasure to work on….

and now with no more blablabla …some pics for you to enjoy…

I called it Olé Olé blanket because of all this red and black…

You can feel that it is a Spanish blanket…you can carry to dance some Salsa!! Olllllllllé !

Dim: 120×160 cm a good sized blanket to snuggle under 🙂

Here (above) is a pic to show you the border…Do you love it? It is very simple to make…

I’ll try to post a graphic pattern of the border next time if you’re interested…

Wanna jump in this pic? me too 😉

and in this one toooooooooooooooooooooooo………………………..

Before I go I want to show you my plastic box full of yarn ends….

I am in love with all these little treasures that I keep project after project (and I know that I am not alone 🙂 )

So the good news is that on the beautiful blog of Elizabeth Cat she is gonna show us very soon how to make a heart with those cute little yarn ends 🙂 Thank you Elizabeth!

A very last pic of Olé Olé before I go…Hope you loved it as much as I do ❤

Good morning lovely ladies,

Thank you for all your sweet comments on my hexagon blanket… they made me sooo happy 🙂

It is so good to see you today after this busy week…

The weather here is gray, it is raining and I have a sort of very bad cold so I am not at the top 😦

Today, some pics (I took yesterday when the sky was blue) of my wip fairy tale blanket which will become – I hope so- a bedspread for one of the girls…

2 rows and 24 circles done so far 🙂 looking great don’t you think?

Did you see my new big plastic bowl? (I don’t know if it is called a bowl or basket or something else but you understand what I mean I am sure 🙂 ) Isn’t it cute?

It is the perfect “thing” to use at home while crocheting many colors…You can see all the yarns and choose the color that you want …I am very happy with this and I think it is the best “container” I’ve ever had for crochet…and I can tell you that I am addicted to buying this sort of things 🙂 hehe

I prefer buying yarns and baskets and things for the house etc rather than buying clothes for me 🙂 I think we are all here like this, don’t you?

and now I am working on a custom-made-order of a very cute “thing” for a small princess… I hope I’ll show it to you done this week… so, stay tuned 😉

and have a lovely warm monday!

Angie

Good morning dear you behind your screen,

Look what I’ve just bought from a very cute shop this we:

This:

It is a “tableau en 3D” in french and I can not find the right word in English : 3D wall-frame maybe?

and I fall literally in love with it! Love at first sight :D:D OOOOh my god, I have to have it!! and NOW! even if it was too expensive for my budget…but I could not resist …

It is dangerous, this kind of attraction to objects… 🙂 but isn’t it beautiful? This yellow wooden window (it reminded me my childhood, I don’t know why…) with its “Fer Forgé” balconyjust gorgeous…

and these cute potholders with flowers….sooo lovely…

and all these cute details that makes it looks real (there is even a curtain with a fireplace inside)…mmmmh

I adore it! and I so want to hang it on the entrance wall but it is heavy, soo heavy because of the real stones used for the wall :S…and I need a man for that kind of job 😉 I’ll try to convince mine to do it tonight…;)

and finally my lovelies, few crochet pics to show you my MONSTER wip ….

I am now making the 7 squares of the 4th row…

which I’m gonna show you this week …I promise 😉

and now I have to leave you and wish you a wonderful week full of joy, peace and LOVE!

Kisses,

Sucrette
